Mike Burke

Mike Burke was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2014 MLB draft.  Before being drafted as a pitcher he played four years at the University at Buffalo. 

 

During his collegiate years, Burke was a two-way player playing both SS/3B and starting on the mound.  In 2013 he was 1st team all conference, 1st team all region, and won "Pitcher of the Year" award in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. 

 

In 2011 he made the all-star team playing for the the Lorain County Ironmen in the Prospect League. 

 

Burke is a graduate of St. Ignatius High School where he holds the record for the highest batting average in a single season hitting .573. 

 

Burke spent the 2017 season in Advanced A ball and is going on his 5th season as a professional.
